Coaching throughout all ages, standards and abilities is catered for from fun sessions for tots to elite coaching to high national level. This includes Children/Junior/Adult individual and group coaching.
A little bit about me
I have been an ex professional tennis player having been Rated top 12 in Britain U18, West Midlands U18 champ 2 years running, Shropshire County singles champ U14s, 16s, 18s, four times men’s Shropshire singles champ, held singles wins over players who were ranked inside the top Twenty five men’s in Britain and reached a rating of 3.1.
I have been coaching tennis for 25 years teaching a whole range of ages and standards all over the country. Over the last 25 years I have individually developed / coached players that have –
Won Approx 14 Shropshire county singles titles in their age groups and age groups above.
5 players have gained entry and played singles at National championships winning matches or equivalent grade 2 standard events.
2 players reached U14s singles quarterfinals at Rd to Wimbledon at Wimbledon.
1 player reached semi finals of singles National championships Under 14s Tie Break 10s at Roehampton.
3 players won singles grade 3 junior events.

Staffordshire Junior player who reached No1 ranking in age group in the county, Finalist of Edgbaston Archery grade 3 event and regular grade 2 under 16 player, Increase of 8 ratings.
Player B: Start rating with me 10.1 End rating with me 6.2
Shropshire U14 singles champ, Nationals U12 and U14 qualifiying draw,Highest ranking inside top 45 in Great Britain, winner of two open grade three U14 events and voted most improved junior boy in Shropshire 2010. Increase of 7 ratings.
Player C: Start rating with me 9.2 End rating with me 6.1
Finalist of Bristol open men’s event and regular Bath university team player. Increase of 7 ratings.
Player D: Start rating with me 8.2 End rating with me 6.1
Gloucestershire premier club team player. Increase of 5 ratings.
Player E: Start rating with me 10.2 End rating with me 9.1 From beginner mini red to singles finalist of Bristol open grade, 3 U10 event and semi finalist of Gloucestershire U10 singles event. Increase of 3 ratings.
Player F: Start rating with me, Beginner End rating with me 4.2
From beginner to 4.2 rating, Winner of open Grade 3 U12 event 2017, Shropshire county singles champ U12 and 14s, Currently top 50 in UK under 12, Quarter finalist of 2017 All England Rd to Wimbledon U14 event, highest ranking under 14 2019 UK No 23, Shropshire champ under 14, grade 3 winner under 14 Wrexham. Voted most improved Shropshire boy in 2018.and is playing national standard tournaments. Increase of 12 ratings.
Player G: Start rating with me, 9.2 End rating 6.2
From 9.2 to 6.2, winner of open Grade 3 under 10s, Shropshire county singles champ U12s and 14s in 2017 and U12s, U14s, U16s in 2018. Quarter finalist of 2018 All England Rd to Wimbledon U14 event. Voted Shropshire star tournament achiever of the year award 2018, Winner of Shropshire U14s, U16s, U18s and women’s singles championships 2019, 3rd place at National under 14s tiebreak tens competition Roehampton, Winner of Cardiff open ladies, Wrexham under 18s and Newport under 18s grade 3 events.
All coaches working at the club will be LTA Licensed/registered which includes having an up to date Enhanced CRB clearance check.
I am keen to see that all children and adults playing tennis at Woodfield TC have a continued enjoyable experience of the club in terms of playing and coaching.
